Highly Recommend! I searched specifically for a Native Florida and Florida Friendly Landscaping business and spoke with multiple companies who were “familiar” or “worked with” these plants, but it wasn’t their area of expertise. When I finally found Wildscape Designs and talked with Rick, I knew I had found exactly that!
He walked with me around my yard and listened to my ideas, wants, and concerns. He spoke to me about the different areas and what would grow best where and the reasons why. I could tell he was truly passionate about what he does, and I never felt any type of pressure. A few days later he sent me the proposal and we got to work.
I wound up with a truly magical space – not just a landscape, but as the name implies, a Wildscape of thriving flowers and bushes to support local wildlife such as birds, pollinators, and more! I have a peaceful space now to enjoy the life around me.
This project was, and still is, a very personal journey for me. The garden was originally planted for my mom, who lived with me and had dementia. She passed away in 2022, and in early 2024 I found myself facing a devastating cancer diagnosis. Rick and his team, Addam and Rick (there are two Ricks), worked hard to get things cleared and planted in ways that would physically allow me to enjoy my time in the garden. They even surprised me with a seating area designed with my special needs in mind, making it easier for me to access with my cane or walker.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about Wildscape Designs. I recommend them and even look forward to continuing my yard journey with future projects!! I also can’t forget a shout out to Addam, who would have given Paul Bunyan a run for his money by chopping away at an oak root the size of a log to remove it so I wouldn’t trip over it later on. They are a great company of great people.
